Nestucca Valley Community Alliance is a non-profit all volunteer organization located in Pacific City, Oregon. Our focus is on recreation, education and the community.

Colourful playground.

We are developing a  community park in Pacific City.  It is a park for the community by the community.   The park is located on the east side of Cape Kiwanda Drive about a quarter mile south of Cape Kiwanda.   A concept drawing has been completed.  Now you can “Take a Walk in the Park”.    Check out this presentation and become familiar with all the various recreational areas, activities and amenities that the park will hold.  Also here is a pdf file of the Tour of the Park Presentation  that you can access.

With the help of the $98k TLT Grant and a $10k TPUD grant NVCA has completed phase I of the Community Park.  In June of 2017, NVCA opened  the gravel parking  lot at the community park to handle overflow parking at Cape Kiwanda  on busy weekends and major events.   Overall it has been a success and has kept Cape Kiwanda Drive somewhat clear of street parking.   The parking lot operates on the honor system and NVCA asks for donations that will be used for future park expansion and park maintenance.  However,  we need community folks to help open and close the park area on weekends.  It takes less than an hour to get the gate open and put out the signs.   If you would like to help contact NVCA at nvcainfo@gmail.com

The 2017 Nestucca Science Summer Camp (NSSC) was held  July 10th through 27th.   Fifty-five students, grades 1 through 6,  took part in this year’s science camp.  This is the camp’s 5th year. The theme this year was Energy – Solar, Wind, and Water.  Students were able to convert these energy forms into electrical and mechanical energy.  NSSC is a collaboration between the Nestucca Valley School district and the non-profit Nestucca Valley Community Alliance (NVCA).    Learn more about  the 2017 Science Camp and see the great experience the students had this year.

We are a grass roots organization and are always looking for help from folks who are interested in what we are doing.   So if you live in South County or just visit us and would like to help you can donate cash – always welcome  – or come work with us and share your skills and expertise.

NVCA is very honored and pleased to have Health System Analytics provide sponsorship to our educational and recreational programs.

Health System Analytics is proud to sponsor the Nestucca Valley Community Alliance. Building strong, healthy communities is the core of what we do. By expanding access to high quality, comprehensive health care in low income and Native American communities, we empower individuals, build inclusion and fight inequality from the ground up.
