Come to the NVCA Meeting on June 10th & Learn about Pickleball

Tom Widden, the District NW Oregon Ambassador for the Pickelball Association will be speaking at the NVCA meeting, on Saturday,  June 10th at the Kiawanda Community Center, 34600 Cape Kiwanda Drive,  in Pacific City.  Tom will give a 15-20 minute presentation on the sport of pickleball.  Meeting starts at 10:00 a.m.

Pickle Ball –  a fast growing sport for all ages.   It combines the elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong and can be played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court with a modified tennis net.  It is played with paddles not rackets and plastic balls with holes.   It is one of the rapidly expanding new sports in America.

Along with Tom’s presentation, NVCA will also be discussing the plans for opening of the Parking Lot in June and the schedule and activities for the Energy Science Camp in July.   This is a busy summer.
