Park Progress Brings New Opportunities

The bulldozers, gravel trucks and construction workers are nearly finished with the 60 space gravel parking lot for the Community Park. The excavation of the parking lot was financed by a generous $97,800 grant from the Tourist and Lodging Tax. A $10,000 grant from the Tillamook Public Utility District will finance the space markings, information and safety signs, a process to collect parking fees and the installation of radio controlled sliding gate. The target date for completion is expected in  June 2017.

The parking lot will help alleviate parking congestion at Cape Kiwanda as well as give NVCA an opportunity to earn funds that can be applied to the maintenance and future planned amenities for the Park.

Many thanks for the generous donations of time and money from local businesses and community residents and visitors.   NVCA has also received grants from several organizations where awards were directed to specific projects. This is truly a Community Park built by the community for the community.
